Welcome to Dr Hillier's web site

Dr Terry Hillier is an orthopaedic surgeon, specialising exclusively in spinal conditions, particularly  those which may require surgical management.

Such surgery may involve decompression and spinal fusion procedures. He also has extensive experience in disc replacement surgery, which is an occasional option in both cervical and lumbar pathology.

Having worked as a senior consultant at the Adelaide Children's Hospital previously, he retains an interest in children's orthopaedic conditions, liasing when needed with the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne and Westmead in Sydney.

Dr Hillier undertook initial orthopaedic training in Adelaide, completing his formal qualifications after working in Boston, USA, in the Harvard Univeristy orthopaedic program.

Returning to Adelaide, he worked there for some 16 years in both private and public orthopaedic practice, gradually concentrating his interests in spinal surgical management. During that time, he was involved on the board of the Memorial Hospital, one of the larger private hospitals there. In that capacity, he served for some time as its chairman, before planning to move to Albury.

The move to Albury provided to the ability to become a fully committed spinal surgeon in a group orthopaedic practice and he has now enjoyed that opportunity for some 13 years to date. He initially provided spinal surgical expertise to the Albury and Wodonga public hospitals, but recently completed that commitment. He is now  focused exclusively on private spinal issues including any surgical measures that may be required.

.

Surgical procedures are carried out at the Ramsay Albury Wodonga Private Hospital which offers a sophisticated level of expertise for the management of spinal surgical issues with an excellent level of surgical equipment and facilities.

Dr Hillier is performing a disk replacement operation with his surgical team.
